Shmely are back with a brand new album ‘The Mechanical Ballet Dancer’!

‘The Mechanical Ballet dancer’ differs from the previous albums by Shmely in a number of ways. This time it has more synths and more live bagpipes. Following the recipe of the previous album, the mad and unpredictable Shmel’ and Lyos have made a new energizing drink for you. You can taste the brutality of metal riffs and suddenly dive into the melancholy of melodic parts. This musical eclecticism has always characterized the band, but in this album it is truly in full bloom.
Feel the bio-industrial atmosphere, listen to new horrors, both tragic and ironic, and imagine its characters, both funny and sad. It is the ironic pessimism that gives rise to lots of interesting events in our life and brings joy. Don’t you agree?
The album was initially planned by Shmel’ and Lyos as another side project called U.L.A. Nevertheless, it is no surprise that it finally merged with the rest of Shmely’s creative work, becoming its logical part. There is really nothing to wonder. Shmel and Les created different side projects before and they gradually became their albums. And why not, as long as all the music, vocals and main arrangements belong to Shmel’ and Lyos?! That’s why it was decided that U.L.A would rather be Shmely’s new concert program which would include the old stuff as well as the new one.
